Kerala - Gods own country

I remember the visit i had to kerala in 2011. I was staying in Dubai where the temperature is harsh and its very hot and humid. It was almost two years that I had seen monsoon, and for the first time in my life I was missing rain and water.. I wanted to be drenched in rain, just walk in the rain, forget about all the worries , the tentions, just forget about the hardship in life and just be one with nature... Fill the eyes with natural beauty, greenery and soak in the rain. Thats all I had in my mind.

And as planed , I visited Kerala (a south indian state) in the month of August. I remember , as the plane was about to land in Kochin airport, the weather was rough, there was plenty of air turbulance, and out of the window I saw that it was very cloudy and wet.. Rain was pouring and my heart was filled with excitement. As the plane landed and I checked out of the airport, I was received with a torrential rain. At 3:30 am, when most of the city was fast asleap, I was having an amazing car ride.. The roads were filled with water, the car was moving at 40 kms per hour as the visiblity was very less.. But I was happy, like a small kid I was enjoying the sight of rain, it had been 2 long years that I had seen rain. The rains in dubai lasts for a day, and most of the time, it feels like God has just sprayed some water on the land, and here I was , enjoying a heavy downpour.. The driver was cursing the rains, but all the while I felt amazed and blessed... I had an exciting one month stay in kerala...

Though its amazing to visit this place in the monsoon season,  it would be very wet, and thus would not be great for sight seeing.. So the best time to visit would be from october to january... The rest of the months are hot or very wet...

Kerala is a land full of back waters, streams, rivers and has got an amazing coast line... The beaches  are very beautiful.

Today i want to share some of the images that i took in my visit to kerala... This images although not very stunning would let the viewer know that this palce is very lush green... I would try to upload more images in the future,, but I  do recomend to all my readers, that if you guys want to go for a vacation, plan at least a week in kerala...
